In my purse I carry things that I have deemed essential: 1-wallet, 1-lipstick, 1-tube of Carmex, 1 feminine product, 1-makeup sponge and my BB headphones that I use for my Skyrocket. That’s it.
Nothing more. Nothing less. No pen. No pencil. No paper, tape, staples, eraser or Kleenex. It’s not a backpack.
No tape measure. No screwdriver. No flashlight, hammer, pliers, electrical tester, level or utility knife. It’s not a tool box.
I actually know two women who probably have at least two of those items in their purse right now. And that’s fine. For them.
However, I only carry the items I have deemed essential.
This may come as a shock to some, but I’ve never been in a situation where I found myself saying, “If I only had a pen!” Sure, I’ve been asked by others whether or not I had a pen they could borrow. When I reply, “No.”, their response and the look of disbelief is quite comical. It always leaves me asking the same questions:
1. Why would I have pen in my purse for you to use?
2. Why are you so upset?
3. Why don’t you have a pen?
I’m Just Sayin’…(Damn!)
