The Death of 2012

Where shall I begin?

I don’t remember much about January, but I do remember I was itching for a change. By February, not to sound cliché-ish, I had received some news that would change my life forever.  March brought spring and in April, a trip to Vegas, a blood transfusion, an iron infusion, plus I started a blog.

My surgery was a success in May and in June I visited the ATL.

By July, I was beginning to feel more like my normal self.  Over the holiday in an effort to help others, I shared a few Survival Tips for a Happier Independence Day.  While on medical leave, I came to realize there were 21 Things I Did Not Know About Summer plus, I was still itching for that change. I resigned from my position as a financial analyst to focus on my health and family.  (I Jumped So That I Can Fly)
The Dog Daysof summer seemed as though they would never end and in September, I participated in my first garage sale. No. The Garage Is Not For Sale.  It wasn’t the best and I’m quite sure it wasn’t the worse.  You live and you learn – things can always be worse.
Trust me.  I know.
By October, I woke up fat and I was doing just great taking the weight off, the operative words -“was doing“.  A lot can happen over the holidays. This past Thanksgiving was the first time I did not celebrate it with my entire family.  That was quite depressing.  However, my daughter and I volunteered at the local soup kitchen which was very rewarding.
As December and 2012 come to a close, in spite of it all, it’s been a slice.

Thank you for such a nice comment. This post was born out of not knowing what to write about. I'm still trying to figure this "blog" thing out. It is definitely not as easy as we make it look!

It was very busy year and I seem to be even busier now that I'm no longer working outside the home, but I guess I do that to myself. Thank you 🙂

I'd be the first to admit that it is hard to come up with fresh content sometimes, but this post was a lot easier for me. I wanted to do a creative year-end recap and I believed this post captured what I was trying to achieve.

Yes I am looking forward to 2013 and I'm so happy that 2012 is now in the past. However, the memories and life lessons will not be forgotten.

Sounds like you had some pretty high highs and some pretty low lows. I hope 2013 brings you many highs and few lows. Happy New Year.
